The summer months typically have a larger inventory. The winter months tend to have better prices as owners are either stuck paying the fuel bills on an empty house or they aren’t able to leave Nome until the house sells.
My advice is to go ahead, get yourself prequalified with a lender. Don’t be afraid to ask friends, family, or your realtor to recommend a lender…..I promise you will regret that online lender who promised you the moon and stars, get someone who is familiar with Nome.
